Iron Age 930 -586 BCE, Time of King David. 7.3” Inches By 5” Inches.
Holy Land, Israelite, Iron Age II. A hand-built pottery vessel, perhaps a chalice, or a torch with a conical stem rising to a tulip-shaped body corseted at the lower end, created during the time of the kings of ancient Israel. This wheel-made, cream-slipped vessel is handsomely decorated with thick rings and slender rings of red pigment on the vessel body, neck, and base. A fine example from Iron Age Holyland!
